                        Cheryl Siegfried : School Founder and Artistic Director, Company Director, Choreographer,
                                                                                    Private Voice / Piano Instructor



Cheryl Siegfried began teaching classical ballet in 1990 in Penn Yan N.Y. under the studio name, Seneca School of Ballet. The school soon moved to Dundee N.Y. where it re-opened as a Christian ballet school, under the same name.
            Cheryl has studied classical ballet with the Syracuse Ballet Theatre, Center of Ballet and Dance Arts with Deborah Boughton. She attended Syracuse University with a dual major in voice and piano.  After going to New York City in 1976, she studied ballet with American Ballet Theatre, (ABT) , Carnegie School of Ballet at Carnegie Hall, and the Nicolai School of Ballet. She danced professionally at Radio City Music Hall for 2 years, and has performed in many professional productions in ballet, musical theater, drama, opera and touring companies. Cheryl has written and choreographed several ballets that have been performed by students of Seneca School of Ballet and Seneca School of Performing Arts.
            The Siegfried family has been in full time ministry service for the past 32 years, serving in areas of music, dance and counseling. In 2011 the she felt the Lord leading her to prepare for the Seneca School of Performing Arts to open under a broader spectrum, offering private Piano, Voice and Musical Theater classes in addition to our Ballet and Modern dance classes. She has been married for 37 years and has 3 children and 5 grandchildren. 
God is so faithful! We are so thankful for the Lord’s goodness, faithfulness and grace in our lives.




                           Mary Rosenberger : Teacher, Company Artist, Choreographer, 
                                                                                              Founder and Artistic Director of “In His Steps.” 




Mary Rosenberger has 18 years of classical and lyrical ballet training and 6 years of Irish dance training. She began dancing at the Seneca School of Ballet under the direction of her mother, Cheryl Siegfried. At the age of 13, Mary attended her first summer workshop intensive at Ballet Magnificat! in Jackson Mississippi. It was there she felt a true passion for dance and the Lord calling her to pursue dancing as a ministry. In addition to Seneca School of Ballet, Mary furthered her training in various schools, including Ithaca Ballet and Rafael Grigorian. At the age of 16 she began teaching and choreographing pieces for the productions at Seneca School of Ballet. She attended Ballet Magnificat!’s Summer Intensives for 6 years, until the age of 19.
            She was married in 2007, and in 2009 she felt the Lord calling her to start the Christian ballet Company, In His Steps. She is currently a stay at home mom with her 3 children.   Mary is very excited to be returning to Seneca School of Performing Arts as a teacher, and cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for this year.
